“Sometimes we are limited more by attitude than by opportunities.”
Philosophy Statement: Through knowledge come opportunities and advantages for success. I believe that each teacher is a vessel of knowledge from which students can only learn from. It is the role of the teacher, student, and parent(s) to be facilitators of learning by challenging one another to take part in the education process in and out of the school setting. As a community of learners, together we can provide a plan for instruction that will lead to academic success for each student. I believe that each student can reach his/her true potential in mathematics when determination, motivation, and dedication are combined.
For productive and engaged learning to occur, students must be taught under certain conditions--including the most basic needs for human survival. Students should be taught according to his/her learning style(s) and preferences for input and output of information. An effective learning environment is impossible to achieve without classroom management and discipline to run it.
— — Each child has unique interests and differences. It is my goal to adhere to these differences and build a successful relationship with each and every student. Teaching is a lifelong process that is never ending; there can never be too much to learn. As I will teach each student, each student will also teach me.
